The 2020 pandemic forced us to change how we schedule shifts, how we receive material, and how we ship. What surprised us was how few of our customers stopped ordering entirely — most just changed the mix.
Cold-chain, food processing, and healthcare packaging kept us busy on annealed and condenser wire. Automotive slowed briefly, then came back sharply once component makers restarted.
The lesson is not “diversify” in the abstract. The lesson is: know which of your end-sectors are essential-services, and be a good partner to them.
