Automotive fasteners rely on cold-drawn low-carbon wire that behaves predictably during header and roll-forming. In 2019 we saw more customers ask for narrower tensile scatter within a single coil, not just batch to batch.
To hold that, wire-rod incoming quality control is as important as anything we do downstream. We only work with rod mills who send us EN 10204 3.1 certification for the heat, and we cross-check hardness ourselves on receipt.
The reward is a customer who can run their header on our wire without changing die setup between coils. That builds loyalty.
